I worked with Stan on a couple of occasions, most recently on Ashland Ave, a Goodman Theatre production. Our director chose not to use microphones, and because we were performing in a larger space, it was essential that we be heard clearly and consistently.

Stan came in and quickly clarified how the voice functions and addressed the overall coordination of the instrument. He offered specific, practical exercises that improved projection while keeping the voice feeling natural, so we never felt like we were forcing or yelling. He also emphasized voice maintenance, sharing tools that could be used anywhere, including while driving.

The work included strengthening diaphragmatic support, vocal hygiene, and maintaining consistent physical connection and clarity while speaking. I appreciated Stan’s energy and presence in the room. He brings both deep knowledge and genuine compassion to his work, and he is an exceptional voice and speech instructor.
